William R. Gillies, twice Mayor of Doncaster, ex-pupil of the Hill recalls his time there in the 1930s. Eton collars, bed by 7:30 pm, and prizes for singing at the Cheltenham Music Festival.

Kindertransport
70 years ago the British Parliament decided to admit into Britain 10,000 Jewish children from Nazi Germany in an operation known as the Kindertransport. Some of those children found a home at KHS. This is their story.
Nick Seward is the newly appointed headmaster of KHS. Trained in aeronautical engineering, Nick is also an ordained minister and has spent six years as Housemaster at Magdalen College School at Oxford.
