The first Thursday of the term saw the infamous Kingham Mass take place. All students run the cross-country course and everyone’s position carries points. The House with the highest point’s average wins. The senior team have won this trophy for the last two years so the pressure was on them to attain the hatrick. Last year Nikita Cretu came in second place and so he was out to further improve on this and gain top spot if possible. A number of staff enter for fun and Sheffield tutor Mr Elliott stormed over the line in first place, as usual…

Three of them helped sail the boat across the Atlantic from Scotland which this time was unusually benign. This may have been just as well as two of them had not sailed before! Then came the long trek, or motor in the lack of wind, up the west coast of Greenland to Upernavik about two thirds of the way up that long coastline.
From your responses so far (and thank you so much for them!):

The Lent term saw the intermediate and senior football teams compete as part of the interhouse competition.
