Japan Earthquake and Tsunami

A Kingham Hill old boy who has been living in Japan for the last few years, David Earl (Plymouth and Bradford 1960 - 1965) has reported in after the devistatiing earthquake and tsunami which hit the region in the last few days.

The following is from an email received today (14th March 2011)

"Thank you we are all Ok.

The extended family all accounted for. Stepdaughter Sawako has her husbands family in Sendai, they are all ok, house not damaged but no electric or gas. We are sending a red cross parcel. The supermarket shelves are stripped bare here, so I just came back from Mizonokuchi with tinned  sardines etc to pack in a box. Lots of high energy, high protein,  food that can be eaten out of the can.

Thank you for thinking about us,

All the best

Dave and Keiko"

We would like to send David, his family and friends our best wishes and thoughts during the very difficult time.
