Hello and welcome to the new School Days website.
There are so many new features available on the new site we can only provide a brief summary here.
You will notice the website has shifted slightly in a genuine effort to become more inclusive to a wider age range. The Hill is over 100 years old and so our audience range from 16 up. In an effort to meet these very diverse needs we have had to strike a balance between the technology we can use and what people would be willing to use. If the text seems a bit large then you are probably young enough to know how to use the zoom feature on your browser. If the website seems a bit too complicated then just use what you feel comfortable with. If you genuinely do not not like something or feel a change is required then let us know.
Of course full help files will be available as soon as possible but if you have a question or problem then contact us - that's the Royal 'Us' - what I should say is let me know as I am providing your support. You can contact me here

Everything including all the new features are available to our website Visitors but some options are only available to Registered Users - registration is simple, fun to use and a great way to keep in touch.
1. Your Profile
This is only available to registered users. When you log on to the site a menu will become visible (top left) called the Registered User menu. There are 3 options;
- Your Profile
Allows you to complete details about yourself. Some of these options were offered when you registered however there are more things you can add to your information. We will be improving this over time so if you have any suggestions please let us know.
- Search & Members
Here you can look through the list of people who are registered on the website. You can see their profile and e-mail them through the messages button (although their e-mail address will not be visible to you). You can see if they are online and if you know the person you have the option of the 'Connections' button to request a connection with them. People who you are connected with are shown on your profile.
- Manage Friends
Those who you have connected with can be found quickly, given a type of connection and description. Type and description are only visible to you.
2. Online Shop
A fully functioning e-commerce area where you can view and purchase various items. Anyone can view however to purchase you will need to register.
3. News
Whilst the front page shows you the latest news items to arrive on the website, the News section allows you to see all the News items in one place, in case you missed anything. At the top of the page you can see the most recent items we have added to the site News or not and the most popular items on the website.
4. Noticeboard
Any news involving the KHA, meetings, events, contacts, diary dates and reports are all available here. There is a scrolling noticeboard for up coming news items arriving soon.
5. Contact Us
Some contacts are available to visitors, to see all of them requires you to be registered. You can use this area to send a quick message to anyone on the list and even have a copy of the message sent to your own e-mail address. We hope to have all the main contacts for School Days, the KHA and for some members of current staff.
6. House Master News
House masters requested an area on the site where they could update you on their House news. The first page will give you all the news from every House, with the most recent news at the top. Looking at the left menu you will see each House is listed and by clicking on a House name you are able to see the news just from that House.
7. Pupils with Honours and Prominent Pupils
We have extended this area to include anyone from The Hill who became a public figure in whatever area they excelled in. If you know of other Old Boys and Girls who have done likewise please let us know.
8. Photo Archive
Here you can see pictures in various ways. Explore to your hearts content. Registered users can download the original image, comment, vote, post it in to a forum elsewhere, send it as a link or e-mail it directly from the page.
Best yet - you can upload your own images to the site using our simple interface. We hope everyone will take part in building a much better and broader picture of how the Hill has changed over the years.
9. The Forum is BACK!
There were some problems with SPAM on the last forum however this should now be fixed. Simple to use, requires registration to post but a great way to engage in a bit of discussion and meet people from times new and past.
10. Videos
Given the creativity of people with a video camera and of course youtube we thought it was time to show people! If you create a great video then upload it to youtube and send us the link.
11. Donations
Yes please!
Doubtless you don't need to be told how hard everyone has worked to provide this great wealth of information and maintain it over the years, or perhaps the effort being put in today and in future years. It is, as you can imagine, an unpaid and at times thankless job few step forward to do. Then, on top of the effort, someone has to pay for it! All we ask is you do what you can, if you really like the site and use it then throw a few quid in the kitty to buy the coffee (we go through a lot of coffee!!)
12. Give us your stories!
If you feel the urge to pen something about your experience of The Hill, your time since and some sage advice to those who follow you then we would be pleased to receive it. Please contact us.
The best thing to do is go and explore!
